Japanese artist Toshio Shibata and Belgian architectural engineer Laurent Ney have collaborated on a new publication. One hundred photographs by the Japanese artist of Ney’s bridges and special structures reveal how context is not only the starting point but of fundamental importance to both their practices.

We were delighted to translate the accompanying text where Ney discusses his work in terms of space, time, geometry, materiality and poetry.

The book is available to buy here.
